As drivers become more and more concerned about their impact on the environment and the impact of gasoline on their wallet, hybrid and electric vehicles are gaining in popularity. It can be difficult to figure out which of these vehicles carries the most benefits, however. Luckily, there’s KBB.com’s “10 Best Green Cars of 2013” list.

Making its way onto the list this year is the new Honda Fit EV. This “green” EV boasts an extremely low energy-consumption rating , an EPA MPGe rating of 118 MPGe, and an impressive EPA-rated driving range of 82 miles- making it perfect for commuting.

Art St. Cyr, vice president of product planning and logistics at American Honda, explains what’s so attractive about the new EV, stating, “Consumers only have one choice for the most energy efficient electric vehicle – the Honda Fit EV. What’s more, its power and handling make it one of the most fun-to-drive EVs available. This recognition from KBB.com further highlights the tremendous environmental and customer value that the Honda Fit EV offers.”1

Though we currently only have the standard Honda Fit in stock here at Rensselaer Honda, located in Troy, NY and serving the greater Albany area, we’re happy to help you obtain one if you’re interested in doing so.
