How To Clean Leather Car Seats

There are a few different ways of cleaning leather car seats. The easiest way is with a microfiber cloth and some leather cleaner. A step above that is using either a brush or a scrubbing pad. If the seats are really dirty you might consider using an electric buffer. Another tool to consider using is a steamer. Read below to learn how to clean leather car seats useing each of these techniques to get your leather seats looking new again.

This is probably the easiest and safest way to clean leather seats. If the leather is not that dirty this may be the only step you have to do. You need two items; a microfiber cloth and leather cleaner.

1: Spray the seat and the microfiber cloth with the leather cleaner.

2: Scrub the seat with the cloth in a circular motion until clean or satisfied with the results.

3: Wipe the leather dry so that all dirt and excess cleaner is removed.

This technique will help you scrub a little bit deeper getting some of those tough stains out. This technique also uses the microfiber cloth and the leather cleaner but adds the scrub pads to the equation as well. When using the scrub pad be very careful not to press to hard to avoid damaging the leather.

2: Lightly scrub the leather with the scrub pad in a circular motion until clean or satisfied.

3: Wipe the leather dry with the microfiber cloth so that all dirt and excess cleaner is removed.

Electric Buffer & Steamer

Using an electric buffer or steamer is a little more difficult and dangerous. If you haven’t used either one of these tools it is a good idea to have a professional do it for you or at least have a professional show you how to use the tools. Using these tools require a little more finance and skill. If used incorrectly the leather can be damaged.
