This Honda Wagon Sure Can Fly

Here at Rensselaer Honda we take pride in our brands ability to succeed in all facets of the automotive world. The vehicles they produce for us in Troy, New York are truly amazing, but they do not stop there when it comes to manufacturing stellar rides.

Honda has carved quite a niche in the world of racing, and while the models they create for the various international circuits are not street legal, they are truly engineering marvels.

For the upcoming British Touring Car Championships (BTCC), Honda is entering the field with a truly unique ride, the Civic Tourer wagon. Strip the decals and race car body kit and you could almost mistake this vehicle for a family car, but then watch as it leaves you in the dust, with your jaw dropped to the pavement.

Behind the wheel of various Civic racers, Honda has won three straight BTCC manufacturer and team titles, and their new unique ride will look to continue this success.

Drivers Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal will hit the track in the Civic, and will be the only competitors operating a vehicle with a wagon-based design. Replacing the hatchback used in the past seasons, the wagon will be similar in almost every aspect, except now it will have a longer roofline.

The Civic Tourer wagon will undergo testing very soon before it makes its debut at the BTCC season opener at Brands Hatch in the UK. We look forward to following the entire season as the wagon tears up the track this year, so keep up to date with results here on our blog.

This BTCC-spec Civic is not street legal here in Troy, New York, so we unfortunately do not offer it in our inventory of new Honda models. However, we do have amazing and more reasonable models like the incredibly efficient 2014 Accord Plug-In Hybrid, which is perfect for all your needs in the Albany, New York region.
